England - Peak District to Yorkshire Dales

Barden Tower has had a checkered history and has undergone restoration numerous times over the centuries. After being seized by rebels it fell into ruin in the 1500s, it was renovated again when Lady Anne Clifford took possession of it in the 1600s and then finally it was left to decay in the 1700s.
